Serve. Equip. Encourage.

Hope takes
many forms.

Our initiatives invite individuals, families, schools, churches, and businesses to turn compassion into practical action.

Current initiative

Warmth for Students

Helping students feel warm, prepared, and cared for as the weather changes.

We are collecting cold-weather clothing and footwear for students in need within an Etobicoke school community. Some students are currently experiencing homelessness and living in shelters, while others do not have suitable clothing or footwear for the colder weather.

WHAT WE’RE COLLECTING

All items must be new or gently used, freshly laundered, clean, and in very good condition.

  • Winter jackets
  • Snowsuits
  • Snow pants
  • Winter boots
  • Winter hats
  • Gloves and scarves
  • Thermals
  • Warm socks
  • Sweatshirts and hoodies
  • Sweatpants

Financial contributions help us purchase the most-needed sizes and items. The Vessel Movement is a federally incorporated not-for-profit; charitable tax receipts are not currently available.

Completed seasonal initiative

Helping students start ready.

Every child deserves to begin the school year feeling prepared and confident. Backpacks for Success brings our community together to collect, pack, and distribute backpacks filled with essential school supplies.

Nearly 100backpacks distributed

Each backpack was filled with essential school supplies, with many also including a lunch bag and reusable water bottle. Backpacks and additional school supplies were provided through York Region Children’s Aid Society, schools, and directly to families throughout the GTA—helping even more students begin the school year prepared and confident.
