Volunteers arrive ready to give, and often leave changed themselves.

Outreach creates space to see people, hear their stories, offer practical support, share encouragement, and pray when welcomed. Families and children discover that service is not an abstract idea—it is something we can do together.

A story of hope

Charlotte’s Smiles 4 Kids

Charlotte showed the world that even in unimaginable hardship, kindness still has the power to change lives.

Charlotte was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2024. She battled the disease with extraordinary courage for nearly two years before passing away at the age of 11. What made Charlotte remarkable was not only her courage—it was her heart.

Instead of focusing solely on her own cancer journey, Charlotte chose to bring joy, comfort, and hope to other children facing cancer. Through Charlotte’s Smiles 4 Kids Project, she created special gift bags filled with thoughtful items, activities, and encouragement for pediatric cancer patients.

Nearly 700children across Ontario had received smiles by July 2026.

When The Vessel Movement met Charlotte and learned about her mission, we rallied our community behind her vision. Our campaign raised $2,000 designated for Charlotte’s Smiles 4 Kids. Arrangements to provide the funds to Charlotte’s family are currently being finalized.

Although Charlotte is no longer with us, her mission lives on. Charlotte’s vision has expanded to deliver curated care boxes and gift bags to newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients across Canada.
